Dalat Palace Golf Club

Dalat Palace Golf Club is Vietnam's oldest and most renowned golf course, with its origins dating back to the 1920s when it was built as a 9-hole layout with support from Bao Dai, the last emperor of Vietnam. The course was originally conceived by the acclaimed design team of Colt and Alison (Charles H. Alison and Harry S. Colt), though it was significantly redesigned by IMG Golf Course Design Services in 1994. Overlooking the famous Xuan Huong Lake, Dalat Palace offers an optimal golfing environment in the charming and nostalgic city of Dalat. Due to the colder climate in the mountains (1,500 meters elevation), this is the only golf course in Southeast Asia featuring bent grass tees, fairways, and greens - the same grass species used at courses like Augusta National. The 18 inventive holes wind through mature pine forests with the colonial-era Dalat Palace Hotel providing a stunning backdrop. The combination of historic significance, unique grass conditions, and scenic beauty makes this a bucket-list course for golf enthusiasts visiting Vietnam.
